
Eric brings 27 years of Non Profit experience and leadership through professional roles at Public Television, The Orange County Regional History Center, American Lung Association, Give Kids the World, United Against Poverty, and the Christian Service Center. Eric has been recognized by The Orlando Business Journal as CEO of the Year in 2019, by columnist Scott Maxwell as one of “Ten people Who Make Orlando a Better Place”, and in 2024 as the Orlando Sentinel’s Central Floridian of the Year.
Currently, Eric sits on the Orange County Planning & Zoning Commission as well as being Chairman of the Board for the 77 year old East Orlando Chamber of Commerce. He is involved with the UCF College of Public Administration, Orange County Affordable Housing Board, Parramore Community Engagement Council, Orange County Community Action Board and more recently, the Orange County Tourist Development Tax Task Force where he was the only member to vote against spending more hotel tax revenue only on projects like the Orange County Convention Center


Florida is home for Eric, who grew up in the residential development industry but has spent a great deal of time with families who have no residence at all. He is the oldest of five siblings and a seventh generation Floridian. He is a graduate of the University of Florida where he was Head Drum Major for the Gator Marching Band. His wife, Heather, is a renowned Occupational Therapist. They live in East Orange County and have four children who have finished or are still active in Orange County Public Schools.
